To all my friends –

Read this as if Jesus was speaking directly to you. Take it slow and really take time to read the verse and understand what Jesus is telling you here.

“I have told you these things, (your name) so that in me you (your name) may have peace. In this world, you (your name) will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I’ve posted earlier how I like to change it up a little to where it means the same thing, but I may use some other words where I then pretend Jesus is speaking to me right where I am.

“My dear child,” Jesus paused for a moment placing the palm of his hand under my chin, wiping away a tiny tear from my downcast face.

“Do not cry, child. I tell you these things so that in Me, you will have everlasting peace.” Jesus was focused just on me right now as he gazed into my watery eyes.

“In this temporary world you live in, you will have trouble, pain, hurt, stress, sadness, and even loss of loved ones. But know this, you have nothing to fear, dear child.” Jesus helped me up from my praying position and said in a strong, loving voice, “You must take heart in what I tell you! I have overcome this world.”

May you take the time to talk with Jesus daily. Read the scriptures, understand them and their meanings. Know that He is speaking to you directly. The Bible and its message were meant for you.

I like starting out with defining the word in which I would like to talk about.

VISION:  (noun) – the act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be.

Of course, the vision we have we really hope it will come to be; not may come to be.

Sometimes though, our vision get’s blurred. Life happens and things get in our way which interfere with our vision. This could be any sort of trial or tribulation that we were never ready for.

But, there is good news! —————-Romans 5:3-4 teaches us to rejoice in our sufferings:

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.  And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

So, whatever you are going through, although your vision may be a little blurry or out of sight at this time, know that God is getting you ready for a comeback.

Stand up.  Dust yourself off. Stay strong and always dig deep in God’s word.

You are loved.  You are amazing. You are not invisible. You are a difference maker.

We all fall short. But, there is good news and his name is Jesus.  When I read about him or speak to him there is an overwhelming joy that envelops my body that delights my soul.  His love for all of us is incredible, unending and forever. He carried his cross to Golgotha where he was crucified and died for our sins. He bore our sins.  He was pierced for our transgressions.

But something else happened… He rose from the dead and said what to his followers? —-

“Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who does not believe will be punished.  Mark 16:15-16

Your curved, bumpy road may look rocky at the moment with loose gravel in your way but have faith! He will wash away those nasty pebbles and make your path straight! Believe in our King and share the Good News of Jesus Christ! He is thinking about you right now, this very moment in your life. I’ll say it again – Jesus is thinking about YOU right now, wherever you are, reaching out his hand to you asking you to open your heart, follow him and tell the world about him.

I hope you all have a blessed Easter!

Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.  And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I love this verse because God is telling us to ask Him for everything we need.  Even when we don’t understand why our prayers go unanswered, God knows what is best. He is telling us to still ask Him and trust Him and He will give us peace in His answer in which we may not understand.  When we ask Him for specific things and it feels as if God is not answering us, He is! He is answering in a way only God can answer.  And when we don’t get the answer we want, just know God is strengthing us and asks us to keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  We need to have faith in what His answer is even when we cannot understand it.  God’s peace will come.
