Christmas- commemorating the birth of Jesus: celebrated on December 25 and now generally observed as a legal holiday and an occasion for exchanging gifts.

Joyance – joyous feeling; gladness

When I think about Christmas, I think about Jesus! It’s the true meaning. CHRISTmas is JESUS! And when I think about Jesus, I think about love, peace, hope, goodness, forgiveness, joy. He makes me happy! I hope this holiday season brings you joy and that we never forget the LOVE Jesus has for all of us. We may be going through a tough time or maybe a great time, but know this – Jesus loves you so very much. Read about him. Pray to him. Call out to him and experience his great love for you. Merry Christmas to you all!

Brokenhearted ~ burdened with great sorrow, grief, or disappointment.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34:18‬ ‭

There will be many times in our lives where our hearts will be broken. It could be the loss of a loved one, the loss of a family pet or a very stressful day. During these heart aches, it feels as if the pain and our tears never seem to end. We find ourselves overwhelmed with…life.

Whatever you are going through, my prayer to you is this ~ Dear friend, I may not know you, but I’m praying For you. I pray that God touches your very heart the moment you are reading this. I pray he brings you peace and understanding of what you are going through. May God’s love encompass you to where you absolutely feel his presence surround you. I pray God strengthens your faith in him and restores joyful hope in your soul. God loves you. He is close to you. He knows what you are going through. Continue to trust in him and let his love move in your heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Joy – the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying.

Sometimes when I read scripture, I like to dissect the verse.  I believe it helps us to understand the verse meaning better when we read it at a slower pace so that it can resonate with our soul in a deeper way.

This verse for example:

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
1 Peter 1:8 NIV

So let’s break it down S L O W L Y….

Though you have not seen  him, you love him…   I just love this because it is so true.  I have not seen Jesus, but I sure do love him immensely – Why? Because of what He did for you and me.  He took our sins to the cross and demonstrated his love for us in a way no one else could.

and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him…  makes me smile every time.  🙂

and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy… there really is no way to describe this.  One thing is for certain, when you become a child of God, your very life is changed.  Your heart becomes different – it is filled with….glorious joy.

Stay in the word and let God speak to your heart today.  Have a blessed day!

One of the best moments in life is to be able to have quiet and alone time with God.  I love reading His Word as it speaks to my heart in a way that only God knows how to reach the very depths of my soul.  After reading scripture is when I love to write what’s in my heart to you.  I was listening to a sermon from Joyce Meyer yesterday.  She told the story from Luke, chapter 19, verse 1-5.  I’ll share it with you:

Jesus was going through the city of Jericho.  A man was there named Zacchaeus, who was a very important tax collector, and he was wealthy.  He wanted to see who Jesus was, but was not able because he was too short to see above the crowd.  He ran ahead to a place where Jesus could come, and he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him.  When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down! I must stay at your house today.”

People were so upset and complained saying, “Jesus is staying with a sinner!” But Jesus knew Zacchaeus’s heart.  He said, “the Son of Man came to find lost people and save them.”

Zacchaeus was so determined to see Jesus, he climbed a sycamore tree! He welcomed Jesus into his home and into his heart and his life was changed forever. I just love this.

My post today was to share information about Book Two of The Christian Book Series, but God placed in my heart this scripture to share with you today; so I had to change my heading.  I pray it spoke to your heart as it did mine. Jesus loves you and always will.

Blessings to you all today!

In the beginning, there was the Word.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning. All things were made by him, and nothing was made without him.  In him there was life, and that life was the light of all people.  The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.  John 1:1-5

Who is the Word? His name is JESUS.

Did you know that no matter what you have done, no matter what you thought, there is nothing that will ever take away the love Jesus has for you? He loves you so much that he died for your sins and mine.  He takes away the sins of the world!

Paul wrote it perfectly – Ephesians 3:17-19 – I pray that Christ will live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love – how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love.  Then you can be filled with the fullness of God.

He goes on to say in Ephesians 3:20 – With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.

Trust Jesus – Believe in Jesus –  Follow Jesus –  Read about Jesus every single day and watch Him work in your life like never before.

His name is beautiful. His name is powerful. He will always love you. He died on the cross for you. He lives inside you. His name is Jesus.

JOHN 3:16 – You know this verse. Or do you really know what it means?

For God so LOVED (who?) – the WORLD that he gave his one and only Son, (who?) JESUS CHRIST – that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have ETERNAL life. Or in other words EVERLASTING life.

Do you know what that means?? It means -WOW!  We can live forever with our Savior!

God is telling us that He loves us! He really, really loves us.  He has an everlasting love for you and me.  Everlasting means – lasting forever.  No matter what you or I have done, He loves us unconditionally.

Sometimes I need to relax and sit in a quiet place and think about nothing else but Jesus.  It calms my soul and brings happiness to my heart.

Whatever you are going through, find your comfort place, close your eyes and take a deep breath.  Pray to your loving Father in heaven.  Just talk to Him. Tell Him how your day went.  Be still and let His everlasting, unconditional love sink deep into your body, mind, and soul.

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

Romans 6:5-6

Romans has to be one of my favorite books of the Bible.  Our current church message series is in the book of Romans.  Romans 6:14 says – for sin shall not be your master because you are not under the law, but under grace. How beautiful it is to know that if we put our faith in Jesus Christ, His overflowing love, and everlasting grace will be given to us.

Jesus – He loves you. He cares for you. He died for you. He lives in you.

Have a blessed day!

What does salvation mean? According to, it means deliverance from the power and penalty of sin.  It is the act of saving or protecting from harm, risk, loss or destruction. It says – a source, cause, or means of being saved or protected from harm. God has saved us from the sinners we are through his son, Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. Acts 4:12 says “There is no salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Who is that name – His name is Jesus.

The steps to salvation are to have faith in Jesus Christ, repenting and believing in Him by trusting in His ways to direct our paths.  Your days might be going good, or your days might not be going well at all.  Hang in there and know you are loved so much by Jesus Christ who cares for you more than you can or will ever know.

May God richly bless you today as you seek His will for your life.

One of my favorite verses of the Bible – Joshua 1:9.  I used this verse in my book – The Brokenhearted Christian as my main character’s name is Joshua.

No matter what you are facing, be strong for the Lord God is with you wherever you go. Stay blessed today friends! #joshuasjourney
